Sedation Dentistry in Halifax

Seeking dental treatment can be difficult when you suffer from dental anxiety. At Herring Cove Community Dentistry, we offer sedation options to help you relax during your treatment, so you can receive the dental care and attention you need.

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is easily taken in pill form approximately an hour before your dental visit. The drug does make you feel drowsy, so we recommend having someone drive you both to and from your appointment. Once the sedation takes effect, you will begin to feel very relaxed. It also has an amnesiac effect, so you’ll forget any anxiety-causing details of your treatment.
